Navigating Visa Applications

While ISAA has gathered information about applying for visas around the world, this is not comprehensive and is not regularly updated. Please check with your local embassy for the most up-to-date details about traveling to Brazil.

Have you renewed your passport lately? There must be more than six months between your last day of travel and your passport’s expiration date (November 2025).

Countries with Visa Waivers and Exemptions

There are upcoming changes to the Australia, Canada, and United States visa process, but this will NOT affect travelers who arrive in Brazil on or before April 8, 2025. No visa is needed to enter prior to this date.

Review the official list of Visitor Visa (VIVIS) exemptions.

Applying for a Visa

If your country does not have a waiver or exemption, you will need to apply for a visa before traveling. As a conference attendee, you are eligible for a Visitor Visa (VIVIS) for a stay up to 90 days.

It is recommended to submit your visa application at least two months in advance to allow for review and resubmission if necessary. For a list of requirements, inquire with the Brazilian Embassy/Consulate in your country.
