Synergen Soil: A new tool to enhance agricultural inputs by optimizing water-use efficiency
Presented by Javier Campos Cuevas
Agriculture is increasingly challenged by climate change, with prolonged droughts and unpredictable water availability threatening crop productivity. Synergen Soil introduces a novel approach to soil water management, utilizing advanced surfactant chemistry to optimize water infiltration, retention and distribution.
The innovative solution effectively contributes to enhancing crop production in several ways. It increases plant health by addressing water shortages and reducing plant stress from drought. Furthermore, it acts as adjuvant improving performance for soil applied conventional agricultural inputs and biologicals, such as pre-emergence herbicides, nematicides or biostimulants.
In this webinar, we will explore how Synergen Soil optimizes water use, improves soil health, and boosts the efficiency of agricultural inputs. We will present comprehensive greenhouse trial data which show its potential to enhance plant growth, improve pesticide efficacy, and sustain productivity in diverse conditions.
Join us to discover how this innovative solution can help overcome water management challenges while supporting the transition to more sustainable agricultural practices.
Meet the Presenter
Javier Campos Cuevas works as an Application Development Manager at Clariant where he contributes with his agronomical expertise to the research and optimization of crop protection products. He holds a degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering and earned his PhD in Agricultural Resources and Technologies, from the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia in Spain, focusing on the discovery and development of a sustainable contact herbicide based on natural fatty acids.
While his professional journey began with the United Nations Development Programme, in projects for adaptability to climate change, he transitioned to the private sector to drive sustainable agriculture through the advancement of agrochemicals. Here, he initiated as a scientist conducting field trials.
In 2016, he joined Clariant to implement and lead the state-of-the-art R&D phytotron with phenotyping tools for developing agrochemical formulation additives. Today, he continues studying the influence of formulation and application aspects on the efficacy of plant protection products and leads the research on plant health products and adjuvants for soil.
